The State Patent Bureau of the Republic of Lithuania (SPB) welcomes 2018 by presenting the new logo.

Director of the SPB Mr. A. Želvys says the need for renewing logo was essential for quite a time. „The old logo was created in 1992. After 25 years the SPB faces different challenges, so the need for new visual identity has come. The bureau identifies itself as modern, progressive and user-friendly institution therefore aspiration to have logo, which sends this message, has come naturally. “– Mr. A. Želvys explains.

The new SPB logo was created by Vilnius Art academy Graphical design cathedral student Ms. Beata Taputytė. She was advised and led by associate professor, branding expert with 20 years of professional experience Mr. R. Jucaitis. “In process of SPB logo creation we sought to change negative attitude about governmental institution. We assumed that XXI century governmental institution is approachable, serving to the public, understanding the customer and not only passively provides service, but also educates the customer, has active social communication and clear position.” – Mr. R. Jucaitis reveals the contest of creation process.

The concept of the new logo was based on keys words, characterizing SPB field of activity: protection, uniqueness, integrity, creativity. The new logo reflects two most important features of SPB – an open institution, which provides protection.
