Last week, 26-27 January, a workshop concerning language check organized by EUIPO took place in Vilnius. This implementation workshop prepared the experts from the IP Offices on the practice of the language check in their native language. The event provided knowledge on the tool and practical exercises.
The first implementing group of IPOs (Ireland, Denmark, Estonia, Greece, Lithuania and Sweden) of ECP4 Collaborative Network, Language Check option, under the European Cooperation Projects, joined the EUTM examination circle. The purpose is to identify if a trade mark has any meaning in any EU language helping to examine the trade marks regarding Absolute Grounds requirements.
